If the fuel tanks are load bearing members of the wing, I can see how it's done, but if the tank is just a "passenger" within the wing, I can't see how it's done. ( I have only flown a few times, so I am totally in awe of how these big aeroplanes work)

I am not talking about a breich in the fuel tank where the the vapors exit mix with air and burn. I'am refuring to the combusting of vapors inside of the fuel tank that causes the breich in the structure of the tank.

I want to drain/empty my fuel tank for chrysler sebring car.
Please let me know the procedure.
I have nearly 3.5 to 4 gallon gas in the tank. I tried using symphon but it is not coming out. Probably symphon pipe is not reaching inside of the tank.

I just purchased a Troy-Bilt V560 Model lawnmower, but I have no idea how large the fuel tank is on it. It says no where in the operating manual what size the tank is and I need to know if my 1 gallon gasoline tank will be enough to fill it up or if I need to purchase a larger size.
